OVERCOMING COLLEGE OBSTACLES FOR FOSTER YOUTH

New Visions Foundation held its Center for Educational Justice Event “Overcoming College Obstacles for Foster Youth” on Thursday, July 1 at the California Endowment. Attended by government, business, community and nonprofit leaders, this call to action event highlighted key legislation and supportive solutions that will make a measurable difference in foster youth being able to afford to stay and graduate from college. Keynote speaker Fred Ali, President of the Weingart Foundation, underscored the stark consequences that impact not only foster youth but the economic health of our communities if we don’t work together to solve these issues.
