Board of Trustees » Lindsey Kozberg

Lindsey Kozberg is vice president for external affairs at the RAND Corporation – a non profit research institution that helps improve policy and decision making. The Office of External Affairs directs RAND’s strategic communications functions including fundraising, media relations, government and community relations, RAND’s online presence, and the RAND brand.

Trained as an attorney, Kozberg practiced for several years with Latham & Watkins in their Los Angeles-based land use and government affairs group. Kozberg has also worked in the public sector at the federal and state levels, most recently as director of public affairs for the U.S. Department of Education and a special assistant to the president at the White House. Immediately prior to joining RAND, Kozberg was vice president of development for a commercial real estate development firm, directing acquisition, site planning and design, and government approvals in connection with the firm’s retail projects.

Kozberg received her J.D. from Stanford University, and her undergraduate degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

A native of Los Angeles, Kozberg is a member of the member of the boards of ExED, Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles, and Special Olympics Southern California.
