Mary Milelzcik brings over 18 years of experience in fundraising, program and organizational management, and marketing in the non-profit sector to her current position as Grants Director. She is a member of the Association of Foundation Professionals (AFP) and has served for several years as a grants panelist. Ms. Milelzcik is known for her Promote Yourself! workshops, self-promotion and funding opportunities for small nonprofits and artists.

Ms. Milelzcik most recently served as the interim executive director of the Promises Foundation, Mar Vista. Prior to that she served as the grants coordinator at Step Up on Second, Santa Monica, and for almost ten years as the administrative director/gallery curator at renowned Highways Performance Space, Santa Monica.

Ms. Milelzcik has also done consulting and grant writing for human services and arts nonprofits, business, and artist, including: Alcoholism Center for Women, Bright Light Studio, Corporation for History, Art and Culture (CHAC), LA Art Festival, the Lamp Community, Night Fire Films, and PS Arts.

In 2008, Ms. Milelzcik received a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Northridge. Her thesis was entitled Cultural Competency in Los Angeles Arts Nonprofits. She also has a BA in Expressive Arts from Sonoma State University in Northern California.

Ms. Milelzcik is also an artist and documentary photographer.
