Stephanie Allen recently retired from her position as Co-Executive Vice President of Marketing at Fox Searchlight Pictures in Los Angeles to focus on an MFA degree program in Interdisciplinary Arts at Goddard College. Allen began her tenure at Fox Searchlight in March 2000 as a Senior Vice President of Creative Advertising and spent ten successful years with the company.

While at Searchlight Allen spearheaded the creative concepts and production of award-winning advertising campaigns for numerous Academy Award® winning films such as SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, CRAZY HEART, JUNO, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, and SIDEWAYS. Allen also directed the inventive advertising campaigns for CYRUS, NAPOLEON DYNAMITE, GARDEN STATE, THE SAVAGES, ONCE, THE NAMESAKE, WAITRESS, NOTES ON A SCANDAL, WATER, 28 DAYS LATER, BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM and IN AMERICA plus many others. Ms. Allen was instrumental to Searchlight’s film acquisitions process at major film festivals.

Allen’s eclectic career path has gone from coast to coast and back again. While in New York at Rolling Stone Magazine she was the associate photo editor. She then went on to Tri-Star Pictures where she worked as the Director of Advertising, and was promoted to Vice President of Creative Advertising. Over the course of her career, Allen has also worked at Seiniger Advertising and Orion Pictures, as a creative strategist at a Web Development company during the height of the dot coms, started two cottage businesses, a graphic design boutique and prenatal/post-partum exercise business, and has been both a screenwriter and actress. She holds membership in the WGA, SAG and AMPAS.

Ms. Allen currently volunteers her services to Writegirl.org and has been a two-time mentor with Step Up Women’s Network. She was formerly a board member for The Actor’s Gang theater company and remains on the Board of Directors for the New Visions Foundation.
